Listing your Rabbit in The Warren

There is an appalling oversupply of rabbits in New Zealand due to wide spread and persistent overbreeding. The huge pressure this puts on the few reputable rabbit rescues scattered around NZ is a real worry. The situation is absolutely dire and without exception rescues are overwhelmed with rabbits needing help. Reputable rescues help as much as humanly possible, however resources - including space, time, energy and finances are limited. The folk that run rescues are only human, so please do not abuse them if they cannot offer the help you want within your time frame.

Please think very carefully about rehoming your rabbit. Once your rabbit leaves your care, there is no way you can control what happens to it in the future. You also need to be aware that finding a high quality home for your rabbit may take some time. We have no control over this, it is absolutely the luck of the draw.
