AUCKLAND - Boris; Dutch, approx 1 yr old, Desexed, Vaccinated (Filavac 11/05/22)

This lovely bun was rescued by a wonderful human who has gone above and beyond for him. Here is what he has to say about him -

Boris was rescued from a park in March 2022, he was underweight and had various wounds from fighting with wild buns. After a couple of courses of antibiotics all his injuries are healed and he is now a healthy weight of 3.71kg.

On 30/6/22 he had his neuter and also a couple of molars burred down, no major teeth problems so long as he maintains a good diet of hay.

Despite his tough start in life he is a very friendly bunny and loves head/cheek rubs. He is also a bit cheeky and very curious. Being a big bunny he can jump quite high, he would need fencing of minimum 1.2m to contain him. He likes to scratch at the dirt but does not dig holes.

 We would like him to go to someone that has experience of bunnies and would be willing to bond him with a spayed female for companionship.

 At the moment he has been an outside bun as we have our own bonded pair inside, he would need a good size outdoor area or free roam indoors. He likes to nibble on things he shouldn’t (especially shoes) so his environment would probably need to have electrical cords protected.

 His diet is hay, grass, dandelions etc and selective pellets. He loves apple, carrot and banana as a treat.
