Nugget

AUCKLAND - Nugget, desexed, vaccinated female Lop, Born 29 October 2020

Nugget is the bun on the right

Here’s what Nugget’s mum has to say about her - Nugget is still learning to be human friendly and trustworthy. She accepts pats from my daughter, but not the adults. She’s very curious in nature, very playful but also has an air of anxiety at times. This is possibly due to the dog we have on our shared yard or that she hated being caged at night by adults when she was younger, or that I received her too young.

She ideally needs a friend as she knows no different. Our male is very old now and quickly declining in health. He can’t handle the playfulness, skittishness, or chasing games and we are very worried it will cause him to break a bone.

Nuggets life has been a routine of: Waking up to be let out into a secure back yard that encompasses 3/4 of a standard suburban property. She has free roam inside/outside and a large grass area to eat, to destroy my vege’s as well as hide under bushes, on two decks, under a shed, under outdoor furniture or under a deck. Both bunnies usually nap either inside or out during the day and have a bunny station in the living room with water bowl, biscuits, toilet tray (made up of dog pee mat / newspaper, kitty litter and hay). In the evenings they have their last sunset munch of lawn and bring themselves inside for lock up and dinner (usually fresh salad, carrot, fruit, puha, weeds picked each day). They sleep under my bed at night and free roam the house to use their toilet.

I have no rabbit gear to offer as she doesn’t require much being an indoor bun.
