Chubs & Dorothy Fluffy
Northland: Bonded Pair Chubs (3 yr old, Male, desexed, Flemish Giant Cross) & Dorothy Fluffy (5-6 yr old, Female, desexed, Lop x Angora)
This is an urgent re-home.
Why are we rehoming our furry family? We are moving back to Canada to help my mum out. We had a family taking our rabbits, committing to it 4 months ago and they’ve just backed out. We are leaving June 9th and we are crossing our fingers we find something settling for the bunnies as soon as we can. We are located in beautiful Mangawhai, conveniently located between Whangarei and Auckland.
Chubs (Brown Flemish Giant) and Dorothy Fluffy (White Mini-Lop that’s more like a big Angora)
Chubs is due for his vaccination and is desexed. He is three years old. He is toilet trained (since a baby) and an excellent indoor rabbit and loves and can also live outside or both. Once he warms up to you, he will be jumping in your lap..probably stealing food, but jumping off again to go do his own thing. Great indoor rabbit: bold and brave guy, doesn’t have a chewing or spraying problem, although loves chewing spicy hay (cords) or baskets like any bunny does.
Dorothy Fluffy is due for a vaccination and is desexed. She is between 5-6 years old. She is a big soft white fluffball. I thought she was a cat when I first saw her. She likes a good massage and ear rub and will sit on your lap if you put her there for a good movie. While her husbunny is well toilet trained, Dorothy doesn’t always hit the litter box, as she learned later in life. We adopted her when she was 1-2 years old as “Mrs. Fluffy” from her previous owners as she didn’t get along with her sister and they didn’t have time for the grooming…and there will be a large need for grooming. She easily gets matting up against her bunny skin which pulls and hurts, if not brushed often. Then she can take hours to shave. We will include our grooming supplies as shown in the picture.
Dorothy gets nervous and Chubs makes her feel brave. They have been husbunny and wife for three years. They have had a large cage outside 3 metres squared and they often have house roaming. They need a large space and love and vegetables and hay.
