A review from a happy customer - “I have been using the Hockassins from Westleys World for a month now! Previous to using these I had been trying anti-inflammatory creams and I had completely refloored buns living space with layers of memory foam to try and improve buns sore hocks, I had also tried vet wrap foot covering. None of this helped and my buns hocks were not healing, and my bun was stressed with the vet wrap coverings. The Hockassins are very easy to put on and my bun has become very comfortable wearing them. I have a particularly destructive bunny 😉 we love to chew and dig pretty much everything and she wears these hockassins all of the time with zero issues now. They are not tight around the buns foot and I think that makes wearing them a lot easier compared to the vet wrap coverings. Many sploots and flops have been had while wearing the Hockassins! I'm using them alongside the Bunny Balms also from Westleys World, I've found that the balm stays on for a lot longer this way and it seems to give the balm more time to soak into the hock. My buns hocks were very red and sore with little to no fur covering them (not open wounds though) and I've noticed the redness going away significantly and I have noticed fur regrowth on one of the hocks! These have been the most effective treatment that I have tried so far, and I honestly wish I had found them sooner.” - Imogen Alderson
As noted in the review, Hockassins are not a tight fit on the foot (as long a accurate measurements have been supplied and that they are fitted correctly), so they do not significantly restrict air reaching the hock. The instructions included with the Hockassins also advises to remove them at least weekly so allow the owner to check the foot and for the rabbit to groom.
