Calendula - Calendula is a time honoured remedy. Beneficial as a good detox for the system. Used as a blood tonic, also to help skin and gastric complaints. Used internally to help gastric ulcers and inflammation. This herb contains essential oil and pro-vitamin A.

Chamomile - Chamomile is helpful for soothing, calming and relaxing nervous herbivores. Anti-inflammatory, analgesic actions, anti-allergy and anti spasmodic herb. It can relax and tone the nervous system, relaxing the muscles, and ease digestive complaints that accompany anxiety and stress. High in Magnesium Phosphate, Calcium Phosphate and Potassium Phosphates.

Cleavers - Cleavers helps to stimulate the lymphatic system. This herb is believed to increase circulation of lymph in impaired areas of the body through dilation of small, almost cellular-level capillaries.  Helpful for urinary infections and enlarged lymph glands.  Rich in silica will help strengthen the coat and hair. Also helpful for any soft swelling and fluid retention. Also helpful in the treatment of various skin disorders and allergies as Cleavers helps the body eliminate toxins. Antiseptic qualities and a general detoxifier.

Dandelion - Dandelion is a powerful detoxifier and is primarily used to treat problems arising in the digestive system. Will help to detoxify the blood and liver as well as cleanse the entire digestive tract. Dandelion can often help clear up skin rashes and allergies as these can result from toxins in the bloodstream and lymphatic system. Helpful herb for detoxification and rehabilitation from illness.

Echinacea - Echinacea is an immune-supporting herb. Helpful for chronic viral and bacterial infections, and depressed immune systems. For skin complaints and to encourage wound healing in general. Use Echinacea as a pre-winter immune booster or even after an illness to help rebuild the immune system. Echinacea has a systemic antimicrobial effect that is effective as an anti-viral and antibacterial agent. Feed 3 weeks on/ 1 week off.

Lemon Balm - Lemon Balm can help address all states of anxiety.  Has a soothing effect on the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract. Also an anti-spasmodic properties helping to reduce muscle pain, cramping and twitching.

Meadowsweet - Meadowsweet is the herbal aspirin. Meadowsweet contains a substance called salicylic acid and in the late 1890s a pharmaceutical company formulated a new drug called acetlsalicyic acid, which we know better as aspirin. It is the salicylate in Meadowsweet that have the anti-inflammatory action on rheumatic pain and fever, minor injuries, joint and muscle pain as well as being antiseptic and diuretic.  Meadowsweet is also one of the better herbs to help the digestive system; it will help protect the digestive tract and reduce excess acid. Has a gentle astringent action that can hep with scouring. Do Not feed if your rabbit is on Metacam.

Mint - Mint has a beneficial efect on the digestive system.  Soothes and relaxes the digestive tract.The volitile oil it contains helps to heal ulcers. Will also help to stimulate the liver by increasing bile flow. Mint will dry off milk production in nursing Does.

Nettle - Stinging - Nettles help stimulate circulation and are therefore helpful for itchy, irritating skin and because they are high in iron and vitamin C they are helpful also for blood disorders such as anaemia. A good general tonic, blood cleanser and conditioner.

Raspberry Leaf - Raspberry also addresses diarrhoea and upper respiratory tract discomfort or inflammation.

Hawthorn Berries - Powdered - Hawthorn Berries are one of the best botanicals to aide cardiac function especially blood flow, blood pressure and the heart rate. They are a fantastic tonic for both the heart and circulatory system. Whole Hawthorn Berries are not safe to feed to rabbits due to the stone which can cause a blockage. But the powdered form is safe to feed. Do not feed if your rabbit is on cardiac medication.

Marshmallow Root - Cut - Well known for treating digestive system disorders, Marshmallow is helpful for gut inflammation, ulcers, irritation and also urinary tract inflammation. It can also help soothe irritation in the airways due to being high in mucilage. Marshmallow also has anti-microbial and immune-stimulating properties.

Plantain - Plantain supports improved digestion, enhanced wound healing, and lowers inflammation. A good source of dietary fibre.

Kawakawa - Kawakawa leaves are useful for stomach pain and indigestion. It is also used as a tonic with gentle stimulating and rejuvenating properties in addition to aiding circulation and supporting liver function.

St Mary’s Thistle - St Mary’s Thistle is mainly known for protecting and strengthening the liver. It also soothes the mucous membranes, can promote bile production and acts as an antidepressant.
